30# felt paper for ply?

Hey folks,
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I have a bunch of 30# felt paper left over from an old project. can I use this as a "ply" for a built up roof?
Thanks.
J

I've seen it done, but never ever read a specification by a manufacturer or trade association saying you should do it.

Wait a minute... Hot tar do it yourself? Seriously reconsider that thought process, there are better DIY options for low slope roofing.
