Regardless of the current state, you have an opportunity to get it don right this time.

Given the climate in your region and the relatively small insulation depth in those cathedral sections, I would suggest that try to do some reading on your options.

You might be well served to contract with a building efficiency professional as well so that he can help coordinate your efforts.

Over 30 years in the business and I've never seen a roof framed like that.
No ridge pole, rafters run in the wrong direction, there going to sag if run that way and there's no way to run a flat ridge vent and nothing to even attach it to.
If it was my job I'd walk away unless they let me redo the whole roof from scratch.

Yea it was a first for me but i doubt thier going to reframe the roof line and cielings might as well build another house.

I guess that's a first for a lot of us. 30 years of looking inside roofs it's a first for me too.

So, that aside, what are you asking for here? Watertight integrity or aesthetics? I understand the first roofer did a terrible job, hence the re-roof. Hopefully they fixed all those issues and now you are left with the aesthetic problem. Honestly, This is one job where I'm going to have to say you can only do so much to make that look good. The waviness is due to the framing underneath and it's nothing a roofer can fix. As far as ventilation, not really a big issue there either.

As stated earlier, unless you remove the roofdeck, true up the walls and re-frame your roof, you can't expect too much.

Wow! I must say I really like the interior of that house. If your immediate concern is the ridge leaking and you plan on re-doing it in the spring I would suggest having them just roll out some heavy ice/water shield or synthetic and securing it the length of the ridgeline until spring. There will be some framing involved then to give you a nice straight ridgeline but it can be done.
