Transition between tile and Therma Tru door?

Hey I seem to be at a loss for the best way to finish off my tiling between the tile and the door threshold. My Therma-Tru door threshold isn't squared off near the tile making it not as tall as the tile where they meet. It does then increase at the middle of the threshold. I don't think it would be wise to fill that entire area with grout. I'm wondering if there is a separate piece of something that I could lay over the threshold? Anyone ever have this problem before? Last time I did this the door threshold was tall towards the inside of the house and then tapered down to allow for water run off.

Confused Dan

Transition between tile and Therma Tru door?

This happens typically with commercial applications where tile is used with 'storefront' glazing improvements. When the tapered thresholds are present the cracks can be caulked for closure and then an elastomeric self levelling caulk is poured into the low spot to bring the two elements closer to the same height.

That's just one idea.

In other applications the threshold is cut to remove a portion of the small side of the taper so that the tile can be installed at an elevation closer to the height of the threshold.
