Hi:

We are at the home stretch of our shower/bath tile job. We included a his and her custom niches. We tiled them with the same exact tile as the walls. My question seems a little ridiculous but I cannot find an answer anywhere or an idea.

In the soap part of the niche the tile is obviously flat and I don't want to use a soap dish or those icky plastic soap thingies with the spikes...is there anything out there I can use instead? The only option that I have thought of is slicing a tile to create the "grid" to place the soap on and that seems like a lot of work.

Any ideas? Answers? Anything?!

Thanks in advance!

Switch to liquid soap or bath gel?

You'll find it really cuts down on the soap scum too!

Thanks but we use both. Mind you, that would be a waste since we've already cut out and tiled that spot. Its a small second shelf for soap in the niche.
