Tile Baseboard Expansion gap is exposed

My cuts are all over the place. I left a perimeter expansion gap around the floor that I layed. They average about a 1/4 inch gap between the cut tile and the wall. But a few of the cuts were bigger almost "1/2 inch gap" or smaller "a little under 1/4 inch".

I thought my Tile molding would cover the expansion gap, but I think the tile is only about a 1/4 inch thick so it will end up showing the gap on some of the 1/2 inch expansion gaps...

Anyone have suggestions to cover these gaps or how to deal with this?

And for the adhering the Tile Molding to the wall should I use Mortar or could I just go with a strong adhesive like PL? Thanks!

Grout the gaps that will show--then add the tile---PL premium or similar will work of you don't want to mix up thinset.

Thanks, I was just wondering if that will fill the expansion gaps or should i just put the tile baseboard first then shove the grout under the gap?

I was actually thinking i might do thinset to make the tile baseboard "stick out more". That way it will cover that expansion gap more I guess I just don't know what I'm doing, on thiing after another keeps coming up with this tile job...

Just grout the wide spots---of you are concerned about expansion---tuck a strip of cardboard against the wall before you grout---

Thanks, one more question about the border trim/tile skirt, since there is a small crack do you caulk around that? Isn't caulk hard to clean?

You will want to caulk all ' change of planes'----so yes---caulk the wall/floor seam---

Grout cracks--caulk stretches--walls move---
