Is there any way to get the sealer off the tile ?

I have a little different problem. My kitchen ceramic tile was sealed by the builder some 6 years ago. Is there any way to get the sealer off the tile? We went the obvious easy way and asked a rug/floor cleaning company and they couldn't remove it with there on truck chemicals. Any ideas?

Why do you want to remove the sealer?

If you are having problems with your tile, a pic or description of what is going on may help us help you.

Our home's previous owner used a lot of Mop and Glow or a similar product and over the years thedirty coatings built up on the tile surface. I have been experimenting with various cleaning and stripping agents and so far acetone, a paper towel, ventilation and just a little elbow gease cleans the finish up nicely.

i own a carpet cleaning company and do exactly what you are when the need comes along. acetone works wonderful or if you really need something hot automotive paint reducer is both hotter and cleaner. i should also mention it's 4x the cost

Thanks for letting me know I was on the right track. I have had to delay the Acetone floor clean up operation as the grand kids and grand dog were visiting but I will forge ahead in the next couple of weeks
