Slate tile flooring

What size tile would you recommend for a 400sq/ft room? Is there an official formula or is really due to personal preference.

Slate tile flooring

If the floor system is strong enough for natural stone--the size will not matter----

Use what looks right for the room,in your eyes---that sized room could take a larger tile quite well----
