Default wait a minute, if i just put cross beams from joist to joist, it sounds like my

initial idea. Maybe the board I put across the joists should be held up by some cement blocks or something. I;m just thinking that with adding more boards sistering or going across, I'm really adding more weight to the primary ones when weight is what I'm worried about. Does that make sense?

Nope, makes no sense.

Just adding a cross beam on cement blocks on just the ground won't work either, you need a footing if this is just the ground under the home.

Default ok, i'll get under there and look more closely at

what I'm working with. I'm going to have to go with sistering the joists I have. I don't want my floor to start sagging and tiles break so thanks for the know-how again! Back to the lumber yard
