SimpleMat over Kerdi?

D-5 sounds like a premium (cuz they say so), product that meets specs when mixed with water. I haven't used it, but should be more than fine.

D-20 is modified and so not what Schluter recommends.

Laticrete 317 is what I'd use from the two choices. Good stuff.

No problem at all, anytime.

Ok, so if we're ever back there I'll ask for Sandy on the north-shore.

I was just looking at some pics taken near Kawela Bay, looks like a nice area to be. The pics were taken in June, so the waves were no big deal. I was there in November, but won't say the year.

Just post me ahead of time on the dIY chat room. Kawela is nice. I like to watch Waimea Bay and Chun's reef. You don't need to worry about saying what year. LOL Remember, I put "girl" in quotation marks (it was a fairly MAJOR exaggeration!)

Waimea Bay, sure, I remember the song Surfin' USA. Chun's Reef Beach, yea, lots of white in the water. Pics taken in Jan. Lucky you.
