Sealing a Tile Backsplash

If you use a standard portland cement grout, you should seal that.

Aqua Mix says to not put an additional sealant over the stone now that the enhancer has been applied.

The SpectraLOCK would be the grout, not a sealant of any kind and would not need to be sealed.

The problem with using a regular grout will be the additional sealing step.

I was stating a latex grout additive, used with standard grout will not have the same results as using the SpectraLOCK.

I am not close to Wilmette at all. I'm in Plainfield if you're familiar with (way) down there!

That is some amazing work. I love the way it looks. Do you have a web site with more photos of your work?

Sealing a Tile Backsplash

You can click on the My Albums link in my signature to see some examples.

My company's website is being update right now so nothing further there. I just finished a bathroom I'm pretty proud of but awaiting the final shots to come in. I'll add some of the during pics. By the way, tried to talk the home owner into an epoxy grout for the shower but they wouldn't pay the upgrade so it's a traditional grout that was sealed.

That is all amazing work. The bathroom work all looks great. I'm going to have to look at some specialty tile places, your choosing some great looking tiles.

Thanks for posting the photos. It helps with ideas for my own projects, and is always nice to see top quality workmanship. Your grout lines all look perfect, which I am sure is really hard to get right on the wall.
