Sealing grout

i am retiled my shower and am getting ready to grout. I purchased sealant that mixes with your grout. Do I substitute a portion of the water required to mix grout with sealant?

You may have bought a bottled nightmare-----exactly what is it you bought----adding things to the grout are almost always a huge mistake---

What is the brand and type of grout---the liquid you bought--what is the brand and name---answer before you proceed--most grout additives are not recommended by the maker of the grout and cause trouble.

Sealing grout

I once met a guy who did a few tile jobs, he said he always put grout sealer in the grout so it's just one shot and done. In my mind I was screaming ooowwwh!!!!....nooooo!!..! Lol

I think the member is looking at a bottle of 'Grout Boost"---we have heard several sad stories here about the impossible to remove grout haze----Hope this member comes back with a happy ending, not another tear jerker.
