Removing Wood from Concrete Slab

I have an unusual problem. We're getting ready to renovate a house and previous owners had poured a new concrete floor over the exisiting concrete flooring, to include the existing studs. So, the studs are embedded in the second layer of concrete. We need to remove the wood from the concrete slab. Any recommendations for the best way to do this.

Why do you need to do this?
Does the concrete surround the verticle studs?
How deep is this concrete?
Got a photo?

We need to do this because the wood is rotted and mildewed is causing the basement to smell. We've been able to get some of the wood out but it's been a tremendous amount of work and very time consuming.
