Remove sealant from ceramic tile

The sealant was put on before the ceramic tile on my shower walls was cleaned properly and now they look dusty. How can I remove the sealant so I can clean the tile properly?

What kind of grout?

Have you tried washing the tile work yet? I might simply be a bit of grout haze that will wipe right off.

What kind of tile? Tiles are not usually sealed at any time---only natural stone is sealed.--Mike---

Thanks for answering. It was an after market sealant that was put on. We tried scrubbing it down, but it is all under the coating of sealant. Is there anything that will remove it from the ceramic tile? Thanks Ann

My post vanished---Computers--got to love them!

Try alcohol first--some times the only thing that will dissolve the sealants is more sealant.

Give us the brand of sealant--often there is a technical help line for the company---

Bud or Jaz might have an answer ,so be patient----Mike---

Bud doesn't know either. Call the sealer manufacturer and see what they suggest.:)
