Polyblend 'Grout Renew' - any experiences?

So I used a bunch of HD stuff to do my bathroom floor, and won't be again. The 'bone' colored grout was supposed to be almost tan in color, based on the plastic sample they showed us, but it's completely gray - like my driveway gray. I mixed the entire box of grout and followed the directions, but it's still gray. I washed the grout down with sulfamic acid, still gray.

Anyway, since the stuff is down, and I've already caulked everything with the matching color, I'd like to get the grout as close as possible to the correct color. Polyblend sells something called "Grout Renew" that looks to basically be latex paint. It's a grout stain and sealer that comes in all of the Polyblend colors.

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Will it look like I just slapped some latex paint on the floor or will the grout absorb the color and still look like grout?

For the next bathroom, I'm going to a tile store and using their grout. This color is way too 'off' for me to remotely consider it again.
