Is it OK to set wet tile?

HI,
Is it ok to place tile in thinset when the tile is wet?

I was pre-cutting some porcelain tile on a wet saw today when I realized I am going to have to cut some tile as I place it.... which means the tile will be wet when I set it, or I will have to wait till it dries... and the thinset will probably be dry by then too.

Yes in fact it is better. Just not sloppy wet. Dry the tile with a towel and then it can be set in place immediately.
