mosaic mix - stone & glass

Hi - Bought some beautiful mosaic tile which is a stone & glass mixture to do a kitchen backsplash. Wondering if anyone has any experience/tips that might help me. I've done a ceramic tile backsplash before, but do I need to do anything different with this? It has a mesh back, and I've been told that I should seal the tile (I'm assuming the stone only) before the install. Any tips or suggestions????
