Mixing paddle

Just a simple question, probably a dumb one but want to make sure.

Can you use the same universal mixing paddle for mixing grout and thin set but washing it completely before using it?

Like say I mixed all my thin set mortar and I have enough blah blah blah. Then I have someone or myself wash the paddle so it looks brand new and use that to mix the grout another day.

Mixing paddle

If the paddle is clean--sure--

I always hand mix the grout--I just use a margin trowel--Even on a big job. Mike--

Mixing paddle

I don't know if it will work if it is completely clean, but I know it works fine if it is coated with thinset.

Mixing paddle

When I did my tiling work, I did clean the mixing paddle every time I used it. Even though I was not planning on using it anytime soon.

Good luck with your work.
