marble flooring over raised foundation wood subfloors

Hi, we have raised foundation (crawl space) and wooden subfloors. Please advise - what is the best way to install marble tiles over it? Installing cement board or not? Using adhesive/glue or cement for marble tiles? Thank you!

marble flooring over raised foundation wood subfloors

Thanks, have read many advises, and now I am confused more than before. I have existing old thin paquet planks over saw boards. Removing old parquet will leave only saw boards over joists. Suggestions were for layer of plywood plus hardibacker. And then - 1/2" of marble tiles on top? This will raise bath floor a lot! Not doing it myself - being single mom - just wanted my handyman to do it the right way. Attached is a photo of a recently renewed kitchen floor - saw boards + hardibacker + cement + tumbled stone on mesh. Can new bathroom floor be done same way?
Please-please advise.

Yes, plywood+hardi backer secured with modified thinset and screws, thinset + tile

Thank you again! One more question: shower walls. We have studs and dry wall in California. When hanging marble tiles (without grout) around shower - what is best to use: stick glue or cement?

On your main floor your going to need at least 1/2 Subfloor rated plywood attached every 4" on the edges, and ever 6 to 8" in the field.
Then 1/4 tile board set in thinset that's been spread out with a 1/2 toothed trowl.
It gets screwed down with tile board screws.
As the tile is being laid the seams in the tile board get webed tile tape imbeded over the seams.

In your shower area all the sheetrock will have to go. It needs 1/2 tile board instead. The seams get the same tile board tape then the whole area gets waterproofed with Red Guard before the tile goes up.
Never use any "glue" on tile. You need thin set.
It worrys me your thinking about installing tile with no grout. Just not done if you want it to not leak.
