making template


Need to make template 5ft. Long and 1foot deep . Making hearth rug out of tile. Trying to make it like a half moon rug. Not oval or rectangle.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.. but since you want a half-moon shape, you want a circular template and you need the proper dimensions (radius, circumference, etc).

I'd get some plastic mesh, or something you could stick the tile to, and make a full circle, then trim to the desired "moon phase." Then start by putting full tiles on and move on to the partial tiles, since you'll need cut pieces to make a round shape.

I suppose you could start by putting the 5' x 1' tiles in order, and then make a circle that would fit that..
