l-shaped backsplash


doing subway tiles for backsplash- do i start in the corner of the L or do I start centre of sink

At this point it's really a matter of opinion: What ever looks best to you.

I will say taking the time to measure and plan it out can make a big difference here. Ideally you don't want to end up with any little slivers of tile.
