Just signed up on the forum. I found a grout enhancer product.

We are using non sanded grout for our one foot marble tiles.
Has anyone used the grout enhancer? ANd did you like it if so?
Seems to me it wouldn't adhere to the tile/floor well?
We have only used the add water kind.
If you used the enhancer, do you still need to seal the grout later?
Questions, questions.
Ower of a very old farm house we are fixing up.
5 years into it.
Thanks for the infor. terri

Not sure exactly the product you are describing. I have used additives that add some elascticity to grout and this can come in handy between joints like those I assume are fairly tight between large marble tiles you put up?

If it is a wet environment, I would definitely seal the grout. This will not add that much to the cost of your project and it will stay looking nicer longer. I like to let it fully cure first though.

you have to be carefull with grout additives. they can discolor grout if mixed wrong.not really needed if you use a good sealer.good luck.

What a funny coincidence! It’s my first reply as I just joined today and I am covered in grout enhancer as we speak. I was mixing the stuff today to regular grout for a marble shower. Laticrete makes a grout enhancer, this is a latex additive to strengthen the grout mix. I use it whenever I need a stronger bond, the only issue here is that the one I use blemishes the polish on a polished a marble tile. For me it’s not an issue because I then repolish the floor but then again not everyone owns a marble floor polisher! I don’t use it as a stain proofing agent because it doesn’t replace sealing the marble and joints after. But it does reduce the cracking.
