how to use existing 1980s tile in renovation

We are renovating our bathroom and would like to keep the 4" white textured ceramic tile around the tub area. We are replacing the floor but don't know how to make it all go together. Any suggestions on what to use on the floor?

I think you need to be a little clearer exactly what you're trying to do/replace. You want to keep the tiled walls above the tub walls, correct? So, you just leave them, don't touch them. Are you saying you're trying to reuse them? As in remove the walls/floors, but reuse the tiles? That's not going to happen, they'll need to be replaced.

We're keeping the wall tile and removing floor tile. We're not sure what kind of tile will go well with the white 4" ceramic tile.

Not sure how anyone here can tell you what's going to look good to you?
There's hundreds of web sites on the net with plenty of pictures to get some ideas.
