How to Finish Tile Floor around Drain Hole
I am tiling the basement floor and need some suggestions/help on how I should finish tiling around a drain hole. The tile is around 13" x 13" square and the hole is about 4 inches in diameter.
Do you have any suggestions on how I should finish this or do you know of a better way of finishing the drain - maybe theres a nicer/replacemnt product designed to sit on a tile?

So what's the problem? Cut a four inch hole in the tile and your done.:)
Is the drain totally necessary and how often does it get used and for what.:)
What tool would best make the 4" circle hole? Should I cut a square then use one of those wired tile saw? Any other ideas?
Yes, I think the drain is required in the basement.
If you want the benefit of the drain but think you may never have to remove the cover to access the egress you could simply drill a series of holes in the tile but don't apply any adhesive to that area when you install the tile.
Typically either a core-saw or a diamond blade on a four inch grinder is used.
