Which Grout Brand? Mapei or Laticrete?

I have the color sample sheets for both. I bet there is no real difference but not sure what brand to go with. Assume both of those are better than Home Depots Polyblend?

We have the Polyblend in one of our bathrooms and I don't see a prob with it but I am doing my kitchen now which is more space/higher traffic.

I got the color samples from Tile America so they recco both Mapei and Laticrete.

Consider focusing on function & Performance rather than brand !

Consider a "Stainless" grout.

Consider a grout with higher performance and "stainless" characteristics.

Consider SpectraLOCK grout.

Isn't that the expoxy grout? I decided I am not skilled enough to use that.

"HENRY" ! Welcome to DIY Chat, good to see you here. Things must be a little slow around the office huh?

SpectraLOCK is a first-class grout-offering from Laticrete International. It performs right up there with full-blown epoxy grouts but is much easier to work with. I wouldn't be afraid of it if I were you. You will be much happier with its performance over the standard Portland cement grouts you have already been using. You have developed enough skills by now to move into a SpectraLOCK installation without any worries.

I went with the Mapai in Chamois color. I used a bottle of Grout Once to mix it.

I think it came out fine. There are a few areas where the color of the grout is a bit darker/lighter but they all blend OK. I think over the past few days since it's been curing it is less noticeable.

I had to mix about 7 smaller batches.
