I hope someone can help me with this. We are remodeling our small bathroom. Our contractor put ceramic tiles on the walls and tried to put a decorative border using this glass/natural stone border from HD
(MS International 3 In. x 12 In. Glass/Stone Border Floor & Wall Tile)
Beautiful border but when contractor put the grout to the border the finished product lost all the beauty of a natural stone. I have a hard time to explain it but all the different stones blended with the grout and instead of a beautiful border we now have a bland unattractive piece.
I don't know what the contractor did wrong but I feel he doesn't know how to work with this kind of materials. Tomorrow he is supposed to finish the grouting of the border but I'm sure he is doing something wrong.
I would so appreciate if someone who knows more about working with natural stones can tell me if there is a special way to grout this kind of border.

If you want to see the stone more, you probably should have used a darker grout. Using a light color grout (same color as the stone) will cause the stone to blend in. Not the contractors fault for that one.
