Glass Mosaic tile Question, cutting and grooved trowel

I have a question for all that care! I am putting in 1" glass tile with mesh backer between my 2 bar heights on my wet bar. I would like to know how to cut them in half from 1" wide to 1/2" wide? I have a wet diamond blade wet saw that I generally use for ceramic or porc. Can I just use that? Next question I do not want to see any trowel groove marks behind the clear glass tile. Do I have to use a notched trowel. I saw something on DIY in regards to this but I cannot find any info on it now. The tiles are very thin and I also do not want anything spilling out over the tile through the grout lines. Do they make a 1/8" trowel V trowel? Thanks. I will post pics when complete.

What color are the acutual tiles? Clear?

I put up 1x1 recycled glass mosaic tiles on mesh for my kitchen back spash a few years ago. They were thin as well but had white backing so you could not see through.

Some of the thinset came through the sides but I just made sure to wipe it well before it set. I used a knife to help too.

I'm getting ready to do this myself and read somewhere to used a notched trowel then smooth the notches a bit to prevent what you're afraid of. Let us know if that works. It will be a few weeks before I get to put mine on the wall, with cooking Thanksgiving dinner and decorating for Christmas and all. lol. Good luck!! Also, let us know what adhesive you used. I'm having trouble choosing mine due to controversy over certain brands drying time. Thanks.

When installing glass tiles...YOU don't CHOOSE the adhesive you want to use - the glass tile manufacturers tell you what adhesives will work with their product. It isn't up to you.

In most cases a high quality "modified thinset" is required.

Say what? Glass tile adhesives aren't offered based on some kind of a drying-time-chart. Drying time with glass mosaics isn't an issue, it is what it is.
