getting old grout off painted metal window

I have some old grout on painted metal window. I've tried adhesive remover, but it is stubborn. What can I use?

Nowhere near an expert here, but in my experience grout has little sticking power. I bit of pressure on it will often pop it off.

Are you sure what you have is grout and not caulking? A pic or at least a more thorough description of what you are doing may help.

Right now I'm in a similar situation, but I'm trying to get some sort of mastic or thinset off of painted aluminum window trim in a shower I'm re-tiling.
