Don't know why this ended up at the end of another thread?
I am asking a lot of questions lately! Anyhow some how I got it in my head (those voices again) that Durock should not be fastened closer than one inch from the edge of the panel. I have read a bunch and can find no reference to it?
My inside corners are 2X4 so 1/2" sheet on one wall leaves only one inch on the other. So would be closer than 1"
Is it OK to fasten closer than 1" from edge of Durock Next Generation? JIm
Sure you can fasten it close to the edge. Any way you can get a screw into the stud.
I think you might of been misunderstood and guys thought you were installing on the floor.
That way you CAN fasten a little farther from the edge - Make sense to you?
