Durabond thinset

Anyone recommend something different or a different brand? I am getting ready to tape the seams between durock and durock, and between durock and greenboard. Does it matter which thinset brand I use? Modified or unmodified?

Modified thinset and tilers mesh for seams and corners---very thin--humps will make your tile rock, causing lippage.

If the Durrock will not be waterproofed---do the mesh and tape as you tile---

For the Durrock to Gypsum board seam--Multipurpose (green lid) is fine---or use the easy sand in the white bag--durrabond would be nice, but not needed---use it if you have it---

For the gypsum to durock seam, do I use the green lid compound, along with the alkaline tilers mesh used for the durock to durock seams? Also, how much of the paint/texture should I sand off the gypsum to allow the tilers mesh and green lid compound to stick?
