I have the kerdi membrane which i cover both the drywall and hardi where they meet? any suggestions. I will using stone tiles only on the hardi backer.

drywall meets hardi backer

There was suppost to be 1/2 Hardee Backer on the walls not 1/4".
The floor gets 1/4".
One bumb up againt the wall and there's going to be a hole in the wall.
Now your stuck with have to add another layer of 1/4 or removing what you have and replacing with the right material.

What the heck are you doing? Is this a shower?
What kind of stone tiles?
Let's see if we can save you some heartache down the road.

drywall meets hardi backer

What kind of issues would i run into by having the wall setup this way?
Right under the drywall I have a bullnose that will outline the separation but in a nice way.
One of my concerns were, what kind of mix should I use to join the two?
Should I use the fiba tape that they use on the hardie backer board?
Also I will cover the shower walls(that will get tile) with kerdi membrane so the membrane will touch or over lap onto the drywall(only the edges.
I will post a pic later today so you guys can better guide me.
On the floor I dont have any hardie bakcer because I will have nuheat first then ditra then the tiles. All on top a 3/4inch floor.
The stones are travertine tile.

thank you all for your quick responses. sorry i didnt get to reply sooner. work is very busy.
