Drilling in tile

if you don't want to skip on teh tile try putting a few layers of masking tape on top of where you want to drill. That should help some...and not scratch your tile. Use a masonry bit like everyone else said. should be easy.

Drilling in tile

You can also try reversing the drill to make a starter hole. Or you can use a self tapping screw in reverse to make a starter hole.

Drill bits are called consumables for a reason. Always buy 2.
