ditra crack mats when to use them ?

Hi , Iam a keen Tiler and have a large floor to do 30mtrs, Customer I'snt sure if he wants Travertine or Ceramic or Porclain tiles for the floor. the floor is Concrete with no cracks and in good condition, i know i would have to use ditra if he chooses travertine or any other stone tile, but iam unsure if its needed with a Ceramic or Porclain tile, some advise ive been given is i need the mat for all stone and porclain but can do without it if i was to use ceramic tiles ? iam a bit confused and would like to have the correct advice to put my mind at rest thanks !
