I have removed ceramic tiles which were installed over concret. Some of the thinset has remained stuck to the concret. Since I am in a condo, I have to use a sound proof underlayment. I am using cork. My qustion is...can I put down a level compound over the old thin set and then lay the cork on top of that and finally my ceramic tiles?
You could, but why spend the money? Why can't the remaining thinset be removed?:)
