ceramic tile on stairs


trying to figureout how to tile my stairs wich have a round nosing. figure i must cut them back , and am unsure how to bring the tiles together at the nosing of the stair, ( whether to but them or leave a grout joint or if there is special nosing for the stairs

Won't a bull-nose tile work?
Oh. Your treads are rounded off.
Might have to square those off to incorporate bull-nose tile.
I'm not a tile guy, wish I could help more.

If these are concrete steps---you can do that---

If the staircase is wood---the installation will ,most likely,fail.

What do you have?

also double check that removing the rounded part doesn't make your stairs too shallow / not up to building code.
