broken saltillo floor in bathroom

I am battling on how I am going to tackle repairing a broken saltillo floor surrounding a toilet which has been beyond damaged due to the septic tank backing up. How do i get started other than removing the toilet??

Your question isn't very clear.

Just one tile is damaged or the whole room is being re-done?

Do you have replacement tile?

How does a backup damage a tile floor?

Is the underlayment damaged or what?

Teresa--Welcome!

A picture will help--along with some more details.

What is under the tile? A concrete slab or a wood floor?

If wood --is there cement board on top of the wood and under the tile?

By the way---whatever gets done the toilet will need to be removed and reset after the repairs are complete.---Mike----
