Boxed Tile Different than Sample on Floor

I purchased some tile and when I brought the boxes home, the tile looked different than the sample that was on the showroom floor.

I was targeting a look like the photo of the tiled floor. This was in a model home that I visited. The tile in the showroom store that I went to was not that textured and had a slight green tone when layed next to a brown tile.

When I brought the boxes home, I noticed that the tile was very different. If you look at the other photos, you will see that there are large white stain-like discolorations in the tile. The photos look a lot better than looking at the tile in person. In person, it looks like there is powder on the tile.

I heard about slight changes from box to box, but this is really noticable. Is this a common problem when buying tile?

I thought that the tile looked a little strange. Is this just because it is a bad batch of tile or is it really a design people might buy? It seems that it is a bad batch of tile.

I just wanted to make sure so when I return it, it will be clear that something is wrong with the tile.

If you don't like it, take it back and say it does not represent the sample in the store.

It looks like the tile I selected and am happy with. I wanted a variable texture and that all individual tiles worked together and were not uniform and boring.

It is all a personal prefence and is the reason for keeping receipts.

But when I look at it in person, it really looks like there is milk or something has dried up on the tile. If I layed out the tile in a room, it looks like it needs cleaning.

Yes, it is personal preference, but I think it is very different that the sample in the showroom, and not what I was looking for.
