Bathtub surround????
Ok can someone either point me to a thread that already does this or give me a quick rundown of tiling a bathtub surround from start. There seems to be alot of contrasting info out there. Membranes no membranes etc. Whats the best possible method... from waterproofing to adhesive????

Bathtub surround????
depends on your budget. I used a corain surround. no extra waterproofing is needed. Easy to maintain. At least you need to use a cement backer board. Seal the seams with mesh tape. Waterproof with Redgard. Use caulk not grout along the tub edge and corners. Shulter offers easy to use systems that are great for DIYers and pros if you are doing a shower. Nobel systems also have great products. Get more ideas from their Web sites.
