bad grout color choice

Hi, all. I hope you can advise me...I had a new tile border installed on the wall in my powder room. The border consists of 5/8" wide by 2" black marble rectangles interspersed with a square copper tile. My designer told me to use bisque grout but it's too light and the tiles look like piano keys.

Is it possible to change the color of the grout without removing it? Will the new color last as well as the original?

Thanks.

There are dyes that can make it darker, but as i understand it, you can't make a dark grout lighter. Check a local tile supplier, not big box. They will have them. You may have to experiment to get the right color.

Thanks for your help. I had read about the dyes but also read that the color doesn't last. Contemplating removing (so much!) grout.
