Attaching wood corbels to tile......
I have two corbels for either side of my exhaust hood in my kitchen. I also have a tile backsplash.
The corbels are wood and have "key slot's" recessed on the back for hanging BUT I can not use screws to attach, I need to use some adhesive. I was told they could be glued up, but not sure what I can use. Any advise? They look something like this: www.invitinghome.com/Corbels/corbel_grape_large_r40xl.htm |

Why can't you use screws, drill through the tile, how heavy are they and are they supporting anything?, maybe an epoxy or good construction adhesive, not sure.

Attaching wood corbels to tile......
I would not be able to get them flush up against the hood.
The hood is in place, the corbels have key slots for the screws. I would need to get the corbel higher then the hood and slide it down, cant do that. I was told a heavy duty construction adhesive. No, they are not supporting anything. |
