Would it be acceptable to combine using travertine and porcelain in a master bath to save on money?

Master Bath-Love the natural look of travertine, but is there an added expense in installing it?
Would an option be to use porcelain tile for the large pieces (such as 16 X 16) and then use travertine mosaics or smaller accent pieces in a master bath or would the combination look odd over time as the tile wears in a master bath?
Thanks!
