What type of caulk for tiled corners and bottom of shower pan?

I was expecting that I would need to use a 100% silicone caulk, but when I was at Sherwin Williams to pick up some bath paint, the guy working there said to not use silicone because it will attract mold and mildew very quickly. He suggested I use their 850a or 950a caulk (I can't remember which one) because it is acrylic and won't get mildew.

So now I'm unsure of what to use. I thought the silicone cleans up easier and doesn't crack or yellow so that is why I wanted to use it. I don't understand how silicone can get mildew if that is what the installers are going to be using when mounting the shower glass.

Please help. Thanks.

They generally have good products, but not sure what 850 or 950 is. Silicone caulks designated for bath/shower have a mildewcide mixed in that inhibits mold/mildew growth. Latex caulks are usually not designed for bathrooms(showers).
