wallpaper striping

I am striping wallpaper off of drywall.. Apparently it was put on without any kind of priming so a lot of the glue is not coming off. What are my options?

wallpaper striping

#3 fan right here, since 92. GO JR ! hope he has a GOOD year.

it is my opinion that it is easier to take down the drywall and put up new. than to try and get the wall paper off.
