Venting a microwave range Hood over the existing vertical vent out

Hi, I am really hoping to get a reply for this question, It is similar to a previous one, I am replacing the existing kitchen cabinets with a better option (Where the current dead corner is replaced with a lazy susan corner cabinets) which caused the center of the range to be moved to left by 8", so my question is would I be able to connect the current opening in the duct (vertical vent) from the new location (i.e off by 8&quot using a bend or some kind of connector.
