tiling shower walls 1/2" or 5/8" durock


q1-should i use 1/2 or 5/8 durock for walls?
q2-e-how says to plastic barrier behind durock...is this needed?

tiling shower walls 1/2" or 5/8" durock


Only need 1/2" on walls.
Tile board is water proofed on the face of it with a product like Red Gard, no vapor barrier needed behind it.
