tiling - How difficult to remove from a wall?

Hey guys how had is it to remove ceramic tile from a wall without tearing out the wall?

If it's over drywall, the best solution is to just tear it out and install new drywall. It's not worth the hassle to do otherwise.

If it's set on a motor bed, we've been able to use a flat chisel behind the tiles to pop them off. then a little scraping to clean up the surface and you can install your new tile.

If the tile has been glued directly to drywall, when you try to take the tile off, you'll generally pull the paper off the drywall. So, as was mentioned, it's generally faster and cleaner just to take down the drywall.
