I see the pan liner has been cut to form the corners and wacked to go over (sorta) the curb. H-m-m-m-m!

Also curious to know how the pan liner is attached to that style floor drain.

I hope to find out how it was attached tomorrow. I wonder how long it will take for water to get under it.

Sorry to hear that you are not the 'guiding hand' any more.

Now you see how frustrated we get when our suggestion are ignored. Good luck---Shower before you go there.---Mike---

I am having a really hard time not saying anything. I probably would have if she didn't put down tile. At this point I know she isn't going to tear it out.

I like to read up, watch videos and go to forums. She goes to a box store. It's going to be sad.

New LED wet approved light. $70 at a box store but it's supposed to last 22 years.
And her tiling so far

There is also a "fastener placement schedule" for the placement of all fasteners used to install cement board. What I see there ain't it. I know it's more than four screws per board.

Well, I actually told her that she can't have just 2-4 screws per board and I also told her to mud over them to help keep water out. You can see she listened. I told her 2 days before she tiled. I love her to pieces but I hope it doesn't all fall on her one day

I almost forgot. In case anyone worries l, she didn't put in the light. She paid a friend of hers to do it.

She's an impulsive one----Act now--think later.

The lack of waterproofing in the soap recess will cause water to run down to the leaking base.

Just noticed the combination-square sitting in a bucket of water. Now that right there is very irritating. If I were to catch one of my guys doing that with one of my combination squares the guy would be back on the streets actively seeking employment elsewhere. Dis-respecting tools is cause for dismissal in my book.

Now that you mention it, I think that my trowel is in there too. Sigh.

Tho I'm not opposed to "lap-joints" in fact I like the looks of them usually. I am wondering why those lap-joints are different on each wall. The rounded corners are also a curious thing, anxious to see how they are going to be addressed.

Bit late to do anything about it now, but that liner installation at the curb one of the worst I've ever seen. All it takes is one imperfection to create a significant leak, see Fig 8 and 8 here:

Shower Pan Leak FAQ– Paragon Home Inspection Services Chicago/Morton Grove /Northbrook”

and that curb is just one big imperfection...
