tile backsplash


Can I install tile backsplash over existing formica backsplash?

Yes if you screw on a tile backer you can definitely tile over it. I don't know if the tile can be applied directly over Formica.

Some thinset tile mortars claim they are suitable for use over laminates. Read the limitations on the bag. Cement board would be better.
