Stand alone stove

Hello. I am remodeling the ugliest part of my kitchen and need some ideas. My stove is in a corner space that was just added on by previous owners. It currently has an exhaust hood above it, no cabinet. I want to knock down the piece if wall that hangs low over the stove and add a microwave.
Any idea is welcome and pros/cons of over the range microwave.

Thanks...pic attached.

I forgot to add that there is no option to move the stove to another spot

Stand alone stove

I put my microwave there.

Advantages .... saves space. I don't need to dedicate space to the microwave elsewhere.

Disadvantages .... some people say the exhaust fans on the microwaves aren't as strong as dedicated vent hoods - it works fine in my medium sized kitchen.

You need the space..... what's behind that wall up there? Can you take some of it down? The microwave will specify how much space you need between that and the stove top.
