So I goofed up my bathroom tile .....

I thought I had this figured out. We even "tiled" the throw rug in the living room, just so I'd put up what we wanted. OOPS !

I started on the long wall over the tub (54"). 4x4 porcelain white tile with some black thrown in to break it up. Got almost to the top of the wall when I realized that I was a row off on my black tile in the white.

The question is, how much trouble am I in for trying to remove the top rows so that I can get back on track ?

The walls are Denshield, with caulked seams & fasteners, then coated with Redgard. The thinset was Ultraflex 2.

I really hope the thinset will clean up where I goofed, because I REALLY don't want to tear everthing down to start over.

As always, thanks in advance for saving my tail ! ! !

The quicker you do it, the less of an issue it will be. It should come off easily within 12 hours.

Thanks !
After I posted, I decided to go ahead & try it (easier to ask forgiveness than permission). I used a thin pry bar, for baseboards & mouldings, and had real good luck. The only thing of any concern was the redgard peeled of in a couple of places, but I don't think I'll even bother trying to spot it back in.

Again, my thanks to the folks that hang out on this board, because you have been "lifesavers" many times over !

If you are talking about up near the top, the missing red guard shouldn't be an issue.
