shower drain extension
I am tiling over old tile in my shower. I want to raise the drain but from what I read extender kits require screw holes in the old drain flange to attach to. My old flange held the drain grill with springy arms (tabs) No screw holes. Is there an extender kit for me or what do I have to do to extend my drain.

shower drain extension
That problem comes up frequently and it isn't likely there is an extender for that particular drain assembly.
I would remove the old tile to about 10-12 inches back from the drain. Then use filler to re-slope that area from the top surface of the old tile to the low-point next to the drain assembly. This will result in a short resloping of the floor in that area but will allow the new tile to flush up with the top of the old drain as it should be.
